Hailing from the Southside of Chicago with two feet (covered in exclusive sneaks) in the street wear scene, Mic Terror of The Phedz/The Movement continues to terrorize the world with the release of his latest music project: The Terror Dome Vol. 2. The project features production by Chicago natives: Tony Baines, Chuck Inglish (of Cool Kids) and Million Dollar Mano, who also mixed The Terror Dome Vol. 2. Artists featured include: Lee Majorz and Hollywood Holt of The Phedz and Shala of the Universal Recording group QUALO.

Mic Terror, who was recently featured in URB Magazine's 150th Anniversary issue and was chosen as one of URB's Next 1000 artist currently has works in progress with various national artists including Bay Area rap legend Too $hort and Virgina-based hip hop duo The Clipse.

His latest single “Hiiiooooo” and the bonus underground dance track “Juke Dem Hoes” (which both can be found floating online) are included on the mixtape project as well. Also, his videos “Cold as Hell” and "Porno Movies" (this is a must see) have been a viral success thanks to YouTube.

One thing that I've been meaning to get to involves upgrading my blog game..learning some HTML tricks. My main goal is to make DONT BE CHI a little bit more crisp and clean. I just want all the pictures to be the same size for Christ's sake. How do you even put words in the middle of the page? THIS is the type of shit I want to know about. If anyone has any tips, please do not hesitate to e-mail me, myspace me, whatever me. Until then, I'll continue watching the best (and worst, I'll admit it) romantic comedy ever.."The Holiday." I am somewhat embarrassed.

Bittersweet..

I saw this "unofficial" video for Kanye West's Bittersweet yesterday while doing my daily blog browsin'. Let me stray from the video for a second and comment on the actual song. Honestly, I love it. I'm not trying to get too deep here, but sometimes this song makes me emotional..over past relationships, over what went wrong, over what could've been etc. Remember, I'm a god damn woman with feelings..but really, this song is the truth. So alright, back to this masterpiece (and I'm using that term loosely). Uhh, what? This reminds me of something pulled straight from those Lifetime made for TV movies..you know, where the husband beats the wife and through the support of her family and friends, gets out the abusive relationship...and the husband either ends up in jail, dead, etc? That kind of storyline. I know, I know, "No Hate in '08," so I'm not going to comment any further about it. I will say this though: I just treated myself to a digi camera (with video), so I might just correct the situation and make my own video interpretation of this song, starring, I don't know..me, maybe I'll throw my two dogs in on the joint...random people off the street...or even Lungz over at Lungz Chicago. Not hatin', just sayin'.

Holy shit, it's 2008. I wasn't planning on having any resolutions but I found myself pleading with the man upstairs this morning while I was laying on a recliner, hair lookin' like a rat's nest, makeup smeared and still fully dressed (including shoes) from the night before. It went something like this:

"Hey God..it's me, Mica. If you take away the pain that I'm going through right now..if you can make the room stop spinning..if you can make my head stop pounding..and if you can keep me from vomiting, I'll be a kinder, more gentler woman. Promise."
Anyway, 5 hours of sleep, 3 bottles of vitamin water and a bowl of soup later and I'm fine..I'm perfect now..good as new. Sorry God. Sike. I was just kidding about what I said earlier.
