You don't park in someone else's shoveled spot. It's just something that is understood among all of us here. The idea of shoveling a parking spot and marking your territory with a piece of patio furniture (or in some cases a fan, as shown below) is not a foreign concept for us Chicagoans. As of today though, prepare to have your place markers taken away by Street and Sanitation workers. This tradition is done. Goodbye.
