By some cool ass kids!!
Every Friday of this summer, and previous summers, we've had what's known as BBall on the Block. It's a good ass program that brings kids from opposing neighborhoods, Little Village and Lawndale, together to play basketball on different blocks each week. The areas have created imaginary borders, separating Mexicans from Blacks, and almost all interaction that is had between the two is negative. Most of the streets in the two neighborhoods are ridden with gang activity. It's sad, but its reality. Anyway, at least there is programs as such working in the right direction to bridge the gap between races and youth in our city of Chicago. It's not hopeless.
The basketball games always end up being mad fun. Huge block party actions. It's a nice excuse to have cookouts, necessary food, dope music, art projects, dancing... ALL those kids can dance!
Watch this all the way to the end to get an idea:
youtube videos are such bad quality.
