The National Museum of Mexican Art, formally known as the Mexican Fine Arts Museum, is now exhibiting "Dia de los Muertos: A New Beginning". Take advantage of this as it is the nation's largest Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead exhibit, and it's right here in Chicago. The 21st annual collection highlights local artists and includes a tribute to feminist Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz. Learn about her and read her literature, its mad interesting... I took a whole class on her. She was way ahead of her time.
So since this exhibit only happens around Halloween each year, you better go soon! Trust me, I already checked it out. I haven't missed a year since high school.
